The Miami Heat head to Boston to play the Celtics in Game 6 on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. ET. Miami (2-3) is looking to force a Game 7 back at home. Boston (3-2) is looking to close out the series at home and advance to yet another NBA Finals.

 

Heat Look To Extend Series

Miami has struggled to find consistency in the Conference Finals and in Game 5, it was competitive at the half but things unraveled for the Heat in the third quarter. Boston outscored the Heat 32-16 which helped the Celtics cruise to the win. In the game, however, they were led by Bam Adebayo who had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Gabe Vincent had 15 off the bench and Jimmy Butler added 13. A big storyline of this game was Kyle Lowry having 0 points.

 

 

 

The Heat finished the season atop the Eastern Conference as they went 53-29 while going 24-17 on the road. In the playoffs, they have been led by Butler who's averaging 25.6 PPG while Adebayo is averaging 14.7, while Tyler Herro is averaging 13.5. They are shooting 44.6% from the field and 31.2% from three compared to 46.7% from the field and 37.9% from three as the shots haven't fallen as often as in the regular season.

 

Miami lists Tyler Herro as day-to-day after he missed Game 5.

 

Celtics On Cusp Of Another Finals Appearance

Boston is one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals after they used a great second half to get the Game 5. They trailed by five at the half but then went on to outscore Miami by 18 in the second half to cruise to the win. They were led by Jaylen Brown who had 25 while Jayson Tatum had 22 points and 12 rebounds while Al Horford chipped in with 16 and Derrick White added 14.

 

 

 

The Celtics have been led by Tatum who's averaging 26.9 PPG while Brown is averaging 23.1 and Smart is averaging 15. Boston is also shooting 45.7% from the field and 36.5% from three in the playoffs. In the season, meanwhile, they went 51-31 while going 28-13 at home. In the regular season, Boston went 2-1 against Miami but did lose the final game of the regular season.

Boston only lists Sam Hauser on the injury report.
