The 76ers have recovered quickly from a five-game losing streak before winning two of their last three games to move to 10-8 for the season. They beat the Kings 102-94 in their previous game.

Tyrese Maxey had 24 points, Shake Milton had 16 points and Matisse Thybulle managed 15 to lead a depleted 76ers team to victory in their previous game. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris (left hip) and Seth Curry (back tightness) missed out.

“Guys stepped up tonight,” Maxey said. “We really buckled down defensively in the last four minutes. We got so many consecutive stops and guys like Shake hit big shots late. It was just a team collective effort.”

Warriors surge to 15-2 for season

Season form

The Warriors have been in sensational form this season so far. They have moved their way to 15-2 for the season after beating the Toronto Raptors in their previous game 119-104. They are now on a four-game winning streak.

Jordan Poole had 33 points while Andrew Wiggins managed 32 points to go with seven rebounds. Stephen Curry returned after sitting out one game to rest his hip. He had 12 points and 8 assists.

“The scoring balance means that teams can’t throw everything at Steph,” coach Steve Kerr said. “That’s what was happening last year. Teams were throwing everything they had at Steph.”
